Start your child off right in life - while pregnant, eat lots of fruits and vegetables, not sweets. The child inside
you gets used to these foods - mine loves broccoli and I ate a lot of it while pregnant, as well as cantaloupe (another
favorite of hers). When the baby is born, try to nurse him or her for as long as you can - 6 to 12 months is good. Children who
are nursed have a better chance at being healthier and slimmer. Once the baby goes onto solid food, get a
food grinder and mash up fruits and vegetables (steam the vegetables and don't add sugar or salt) - then drop spoonfuls into
ice trays (you may have to buy some with today's ice maker systems in the freezers). Freeze these and then slightly
warm them up and feed them. Jars of baby food contain so much sodium and sugar - the child doesn't need to learn to
love that in food. It's cheaper as well to feed your own food. Don't buy junk foods as the child grows up - instead of
sugared or honey Cheerios, buy plain Cheerios - get away from sugar, salt and fat as much as you can. Offer more
grains, fruit and vegetables in snacks and meals - your child will learn early not to balk at grains, and will be off to a
good start in eating and weight control. My daughter hates breakfast cereals that are sugared, and tries to dump the
sugar out of oatmeal packets - processed food is too sweet. She's almost 11 years old and eats healthier than most! Oh
yeah - don't buy school lunches - have the child bring his or her own lunches - and keep them healthy! Do offer an
occasional sweet treat, but don't have them available at all times.
By the way - your child learns from you - show a good example by what you eat. This makes it easy for you
to get back into shape yourself!
Drink LOTS of water! Water cleanses toxins from your body, and it is great at filling you up so you don't
eat as much. You'll feel less hungry if you drink a lot.
Make sure to get lots of exercise - walk stairs rather then taking an elevator. Ride a bike to the store or work if you
can. Do stretches while watching TV. There are lots of ways for you to "sneak in" activity. See what
Sports you might be good at.

Relief for your back & neck when using a laptop, and eliminate the heat
Laptops are ergonomically awful - the screen and keyboard aren't in the right places to keep yourself
healthy - you have to lean over to work with it, and then there is the problem of heat - which can and does
cause other health problems. One wonderful invention is the
