Fermented foods – they are good for you – good for your gut. Eat or drink fermented foods every day. This gives you good probiotics to help your gut.

I make sure to eat fermented foods daily – the bacteria in fermented foods and drinks put the good bacteria into your gut, which has likely got an imbalance of bad to good bacteria. Bad bacteria taxes your system and can cause plenty of havoc with your health.

Good bacteria is found in these fermented foods and drinks and are considered probiotic:

Yogurt (not the mainstream “yogurt” but real plain (or fruited) non-sugared yogurt)

Kefir

Kombucha

Pickles (real, fermented ones – of any vegetable)

Sauerkraut

Kimchi

Fermented soybeans – Natto (though it tastes nasty), miso, tempeh, soy sauce (soy needs to be organic – if not, the pesticides and such will counteract the benefit of the probiotic)

There are other fermented foods, but the above are easily found and contain helpful bacteria in reasonable doses.

When you eat a lot of junk food, take medications (antibiotics at the top), are sluggish, etc., you are taxing your gut by not having enough good bacteria – this can lead to many other issues, including:

Leaky gut

Bowel issues

Gluten issues

Lactose intolerance

Digestion issues

Allergies

Asthma

Weight issues

Constipation and diarrhea

Foggy brain

Your gut health is important – like the brains of your system. You want it to absorb nutrients for your well-being, not toxins and garbage. To get your gut healthy, and maintain its health, you need to eat nutritious foods and drinks. You need to get the right probiotics, enzymes, and bacteria built back up. Fermented foods can help get your gut health back on track.
