Whenever you learn something that helps your health, psyche, pain, anxiety, work, etc. take note of those helpers and make a toolbox to pull these notes from when you need them.

I have been to various types of counseling and therapy, so I have a lot in my toolbox.

From biofeedback training to EMDR to other counseling, I have learned a lot to sustain me. Deep breathing, targeted breathing, putting concerns/worries/bad memories/ into a “box” in my head to file away are some of my tools.

From physical therapy to acupuncture to chiropractor to massage to doctor visits to ayurvedic treatments, etc. I have learned how to do proper stretching, exercise, walking and more. The things I have learned go into my toolbox.

There are things I’ve learned from people in my life, and I put them into my toolbox.

When I have issues that I need help with, I dig into my toolbox for ways to deal with them. I usually make notes, so I remember. My toolbox might be on my phone notes, or in a notebook to refer to.

In any case, all tips and tricks I’ve learned go into my toolbox and I can refer to them as needed. I encourage my daughter to also have a toolbox and it’s helped her.
