Worrying
Did you realize that worrying does not change anything?
All that worrying does, is stress you out and affect you. It doesn’t change how things went or will go. Only actions can change outcomes, but worry does not.
Worrying gets you anxious and stressed. It doesn’t help make things better or change an outcome and might pull in other people into your drama. It doesn’t help other people to just worry.
As a parent, yes, you worry about your kids, especially if you hear about something going on and hope your child isn’t in the thick of it. If you cannot get hold of your child, yes you worry, but you are the only one who is affected by it.
Instead, get proactive and do something. Make some calls, work on your work if you are behind, or do whatever plan is in front of you. Pray if you feel like it – it can calm you down. Realize some things are out of your control and your worrying won’t change anything. So change it into actions.
I know it’s not easy to break the habit. But the less you tax your system, the better for you because worrying does you no good.
