The Bible tells of ruling kings, which lines up with historical accounts of other ways found. Many coins found from the time do have the kings on the coins at the same timeline in the Bible.
It tells of the way people thought in those days, the need for secrets and speaking in code, the dangers and prejudices, the wars and how it shaped the way people lived, the way things were described, etc. The wars are proven from other ways.
It describes the foods eaten at the time. There is evidence that backs up the descriptions – old grains, fossilized foods and produce, poop analysis, other writings, etc.
The Bible describes roads and cities. It describes money. It describes topography. All of this is verified from other proofs.
The type of Bible you have shapes your understanding of the Bible. The literal or wild translations of the original languages make a difference in a sentence meaning. A good Bible will have annotations or footnotes to show the original wording and its meaning in places. It would make a difference if a word for indifference was translated to joy. It’s important to notice when the translation might change the meaning of a sentence or passage. The history of the language is also important and fascinating.
Some things are not able to be backed up in other ways, but as accurate as the Bible is, it can be assumed that many of those things are accurate. The stories of the beginning of man cannot be proven, but are stories which have passed down through generations to explain what could explain the beginnings of man to people – but no one actually witnessed how things began.
