God Gives Us the Tools
God Protects Us But We Need to Accept the Help
When people think God will protect them from an attack, from getting COVID, from anything – just by praying, it’s not that simple.
God gives us the tools to use to protect us. He gives us doctors, engineers, scientists, historians, builders, workers and more to construct the tools.
Doctors refer medications and therapies. Engineers figure the ways to build things, fix things, update things, etc. Scientists give us the latest understanding of how things work and how things came to be, and clues on how things might be. Medical scientists formulate medical devices, vaccines, medications, healing procedures, etc. Historians show us what happened in history and how not to repeat the mistakes, plus how things might work better from other examples – not all history is pretty but that is how we learn and gain empathy. Builders and workers make and fix the things that engineers draw up. The list goes on and on.
The vaccines have saved peoples’ lives, eradicated diseases, kept sicknesses to minimal levels, etc. Only a few have had adverse reactions – most people tolerate vaccines well and they work. Some reactions to certain shots may be unpleasant for a day or two, but things are fine after that, and the protections work. Shingles shots hurt because the fluid is thick and needs a bigger needle, but that is no big deal if it keeps you from getting shingles, which is miserable according to people I know. Vaccines do not use the ingredients that certain people try to convince us about. The mRNA vaccines do not change RNA, and do not contain a live bacteria or virus. “MRNA — or messenger ribonucleic acid — is a molecule in your cells that copies instructions from your DNA and brings them to your ribosomes (protein-making structures in your cells). Your ribosomes use the instructions on mRNA to create proteins that make your body work.”
So, use the tools God gives us. Prayers are answered with the tools he gives us. If we ignore the tools, we should not expect further protection.
